Dr. Imam Azam had done his postgraduation (MDS) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He is currently working in the department of Pediatric & Preventive Dentistry, Aligarh Muslim University, India with Prof. Divya Sanjay Sharma. He has multiple national and international publications. He is also the member of multiple national and international societies/associations. His primary thrush area is risk-based approach caries management, preventive and interceptive orthodontics.

“Simplifying Mixed Dentition Analyses with ‘Ortho Assistant’ Moblie App”

Description:

Outline for workshop (6-7 hours) :
● Attendees should be ready with the ortho assistant app in their devices with
printed download form, available in the app and other armamentarium needed
for tooth and arch length measurement. Detailed list will be provided just prior to
the conference. Once attendees are equipped with required armamentarium,
workshop would begin-
● Tooth measurement taking.
● Different other measurement taking.
● Predicting unerupted canine and premolar width with the help of various
methods eg. prediction chart, regression formulas and radiographic methods.
● Brass wire and/or segmental arch length measurement
● Extracting required results and documentation of these for a patient.
● Understanding the type of arch with the help of TSALD and utilizing it in the
treatment plan.
● Making a treatment plan with the help of drawn results.
● Space calculation for requirement of space maintainer in a patient needing it
along with an interceptive treatment plan.
● Training for cephalometric mixed dentition analysis – Tweed’s and Total Space
Analysis.
● Interactive discussion.
● Quiz with multiple choice questions and patient photographs.
